Mega Evolutions are Mega Awesome

So here's my honest opinion on Mega Evolutions. First, the good stuff.

Overall, I think this is idea a fresh new idea for Pokemon. Mega Evolutions give an excuse to rework old Pokemon, including some that a number of people forgot about like Mawile and Kangaskhan. I also think this will possibly give weaker Pokemon a chance to be acknowledged in competitive play. Plus, the designs are pretty awesome.

Now for the bad stuff...

I don't think Pokemon like Blaziken, Mewtwo or Lucario deserved Mega Evolutions. They were already too powerful and I think making them even more powerful would ''break'' them (unless Mega Evolutions would have reduced stats balancing out the increased ones). Also, maybe this is just me, but I think some Pokemon need real evolutions and not Mega Evolutions, like Mawile. Mawile's Mega Evo looks like it could be a real deal evolution. Hopefully Game Freak won't slap a Mega Evolution on every weak Pokemon that doesn't evolve and call it a day.

But I guess I can't judge too much at this point with the lack of info. We'll see how it goes!

One more thing. I'm curious about what you guys think of Mega Evolutions. Are you with or against this new idea?
